Seasoned Mullet Singari Fish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, add the coriander, dill, celery & bell peppers. Next add the tomato, chili pepper (optional) & garlic. Blend well.
  2. Season it with salt, dry coriander, cumin, paprika & black pepper. Add the juice of half a lemon
  3. Get the cleaned Singari cut mullet fish, drizzle some oil on the outer skin with some salt.
  4. Spread the marinade on the flesh of the fish.
  5. Line the baking tray with parchment paper, lay the fish with the marinated side facing up.
  6. Place in preheated oven on 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
  7. Note: taste the marinade before adding it to the fish to make sure of the saltiness (you might need to add some extra salt &/or cumin)

Preparing the Toppings mix

  1. In a hot pan, add some oil, then add the onion, bell pepper and carrot.
  2. Add the salt, black pepper & coriander. Stir well till slightly cooked and the veggies soften.

The final touch

  1. Now take the fish out of the oven, add the toppings mix. Add some lemon slices for garnish.
  2. Pop it in the oven, turn on the broiler and place the fish near the heat. Take it out of the oven when the top gets cooked.
  3. Serving suggestion: Juice some lemon on top of the fish to bring out the flavors. Serve with rice and tahini sauce.
