Spiced Beef with Turkey & Melted Cheddar

Tender spiced beef roast cooked slowly with onions, then baked with turkey slices and melted cheddar cheese for a rich and comforting oven dish.

Instructions
Season the whole beef cut generously with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and sear the beef from all sides until it develops a nice brown color.
Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté sliced onions until softened.
Remove any string tied around the beef (if present), then slice the beef — not too thick and not too thin.
Return the beef slices to the pan with the onions and let them brown together briefly.
Add some water and the sautéed onions.
Add garlic cloves.
Cover tightly with foil.
Cook for about 2 hours until very tender.
In a baking dish, layer: The beef slices, Turkey slices, The cooked onions, Cheddar cheese slices
Bake in the oven just until the cheddar melts.
