Orzo Risotto with Beef Fillet

Description

Orzo risotto is a tasty dish combining minced meat flavor with creamy orzo pasta. Brown the meat with onion and celery, then add pasta and broth until cooked. Serve with cheese and a bit of cream for a rich and delicious texture.

  1. In a pan, on high heat, cook the fillet on both sides.
  2. Season beef fillet with salt & pepper.
  3. In the same pan, add chopped onion and celery and sauté until softened.
  4. Add chopped mushrooms and stir until browned.
  5. Add salt, pepper & Italian seasoning.
  6. Add butter & minced garlic.
  7. Add orzo pasta and stir for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  8. Pour in beef broth and stir constantly over medium heat until orzo absorbs the liquid and becomes tender, about 10 minutes. Avoid vigorous boiling.
  9. Remove pan from heat, then add cream and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined.
