Instructions

  1. Cut the bell pepper into medium cubes and the onion into thin slices.
  2. In a bowl, mix the marinade ingredients: soy sauce, cornstarch, baking soda, rice vinegar, black pepper, and sesame oil. Add the beef and let it marinate (if using other cuts, let it sit longer).
  3. Heat a pan over very high heat, then sear the beef until it gains color, then remove it from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, stir-fry the vegetables (pepper and onion) for a short time without cooking them completely.
  5. Add the sauce ingredients: minced ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, honey, oyster sauce (optional), sesame oil, cornstarch, rice vinegar, and water. Stir until the sauce starts to thicken.
  6. Add the cooked beef back to the pan and stir.
  7. Add the sesame seeds and stir.
  8. To prepare the noodles: bring boiling water, pour it over the glass noodles and let them sit for 5 minutes until cooked, then drain.
  9. Serve the stir fry over the noodles.
