Description

Learn how to prepare tender, non-dry meatballs with the delicious pink Ramazan sauce. The recipe uses minced meat with 20% fat and baking powder to ensure the meat is tender.

Serve the meatballs with a creamy sauce made from tomato sauce and cream, with hints of basil and sun-dried tomatoes. Perfect as a main dish or appetizer.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Mix the minced meat with the strained grated onion, parsley, thyme, baking powder, salt, parmesan cheese, pomegranate molasses, breadcrumbs, and pepper. Knead well until it becomes like dough.
  2. Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over high heat. Sauté the meatballs on both sides until golden brown (do not cook them completely). Remove them from the pan.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic until it takes on color. Add the tomato sauce and let it sit for a minute.
  5. Then add the sun-dried tomatoes with the chopped basil (optional), tomato juice, and honey or sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Let the sauce cook a little, then return the meatballs to the pan to finish cooking.
  7. Finally, add the cooking cream and stir.
