Ingredients

For the Cake

For the Chocolate Sauce

For the Ganache (Optional Topping)

Instructions

  1. Roughly break the Biscuits into medium-sized pieces. Place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the Milk, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Butter, and Sugar
  3. Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the Cooking Chocolate to the mixture. Continue stirring until the chocolate melts and integrates completely.
  5. Let the sauce simmer gently on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a desired consistency.
  6. Once the chocolate sauce has cooled down slightly (it doesn't need to be completely cold, but not piping hot), pour it immediately over the broken Biscuits in the bowl.
  7. Gently mix the biscuits with the chocolate sauce, ensuring all the biscuit pieces are well coated.
  8. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper, followed by a sheet of aluminum foil.
  9. Transfer the chocolate-coated biscuit mixture onto the parchment paper, shaping it into a log or roll.
  10. Use the parchment paper and foil to tightly wrap the mixture into a compact roll, twisting the ends to seal it.
  11. Place the wrapped roll in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until it is firm and set.

Prepare the Ganache (Optional)

  1. If you wish to make the ganache, warm the Whipping Cream in a small saucepan or microwave until it's warm but not boiling.
  2. Remove from heat and add the Cooking Chocolate.
  3. Stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely and integrates with the cream to form a smooth ganache.

Serving

  1. Once the Lazy Cake is firm, unwrap it. You can serve it as is, slicing it into rounds.
  2. Alternatively, pour the prepared chocolate ganache over the top before slicing for an extra decadent finish.
