Grilled Steak with Mushroom Sauce and Potatoes

Season the steak with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a pan and grill the steak for 3 minutes on each side.
Dissolve the beef broth cube in boiling water.
Melt the butter in the same pan, add the chopped onion, and sauté until softened.
Add the mushrooms and cook until tender and darkened.
Add the minced garlic and thyme, and stir.
Gradually add the beef broth while stirring, then add the mustard and Worcestershire sauce, and stir.
Add the cornstarch-water slurry and stir until the sauce thickens.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper, and add red pepper flakes if desired.
Return the steak to the pan for the last 5 minutes of cooking to absorb the sauce flavor.
Place the steak on a serving plate, spoon some sauce over it, and pour the remaining sauce around it.
Serve the steak with potatoes and garnish with parsley.
