  1. In a pot over high heat, place oil and butter, add meat cubes and fry while flipping several times until evenly browned on all sides. Add the spices and stir. Add hot water, whenever needed but not all at once. Cover and let cook.
  2. In a pan, add oil, butter, garlic and fresh cilantro. Fry together. When well fried add more oil, ground coriander, salt and pepper.
  3. Add the fully cooked meat to the fried cilantro, add the milk, whipping cream and the bouillon cube. Let boil for 10 minutes.
  4. In a serving platter put the bread first then half the rice and drizzle some creamy cilantro sauce and add the second half of rice. Top with the beef shanks and pour some sauce all over. Finally sprinkle some fried almonds.
