Description

Roz Meamar is a traditional Egyptian dish rich in flavor. This recipe uses a blend of milk, cream, and clotted cream for an irresistible creamy texture. Add ghee, spices, and aged cheese to enrich the taste, then bake the mixture in the oven until golden and appetizing.

  1. Heat the milk on the stove and add salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Optional - add stock cube.
  2. Brush a clay pot with ghee than add the washed rice, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  3. Add the hot milk, cream, and clotted cream to the rice.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the dish in the oven for 45 minutes to an hour.
  5. A short while before the dish is done, open the oven and add a little clotted cream on top.
  6. Remove the dish from the oven and serve hot.
