Creamy Orzo with Mushroom & Spinach

Description

Creamy mushroom and orzo is an innovative and delicious dish that can be served as a main course. The orzo is browned then cooked with cream, mushrooms, and Parmesan cheese for a rich, creamy texture.

  1. Put butter in a pot and add orzo. Stir until browned, then remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add a little butter and some mushrooms, stir until browned.
  3. Add baby spinach, minced garlic, some thyme, salt, and black pepper. Let them cook together for a while.
  4. Return the browned orzo to the pot and add enough boiling water to cover it, then add the chicken bouillon cube. Let it cook until done.
  5. When cooked, add cooking cream and stir. Then add some Parmesan cheese and stir.
  6. Add chicken or meat as desired, then add more Parmesan cheese and some parsley. Serve and enjoy.

You can add chicken or meat pieces as desired to increase the nutritional value.
