Instructions
-
Roughly break the Biscuits into medium-sized pieces. Place them in a large bowl.
-
In a saucepan, combine the Milk, Unsweetened Cocoa Powder, Butter, and Sugar
-
Place the saucepan over low heat and stir until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.
-
Add the Cooking Chocolate to the mixture. Continue stirring until the chocolate melts and integrates completely.
-
Let the sauce simmer gently on low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a desired consistency.
-
Once the chocolate sauce has cooled down slightly (it doesn't need to be completely cold, but not piping hot), pour it immediately over the broken Biscuits in the bowl.
-
Gently mix the biscuits with the chocolate sauce, ensuring all the biscuit pieces are well coated.
-
Lay out a sheet of parchment paper, followed by a sheet of aluminum foil.
-
Transfer the chocolate-coated biscuit mixture onto the parchment paper, shaping it into a log or roll.
-
Use the parchment paper and foil to tightly wrap the mixture into a compact roll, twisting the ends to seal it.
-
Place the wrapped roll in the refrigerator for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight, until it is firm and set.
Prepare the Ganache (Optional)
-
If you wish to make the ganache, warm the Whipping Cream in a small saucepan or microwave until it's warm but not boiling.
-
Remove from heat and add the Cooking Chocolate.
-
Stir constantly until the chocolate melts completely and integrates with the cream to form a smooth ganache.
Serving
-
Once the Lazy Cake is firm, unwrap it. You can serve it as is, slicing it into rounds.
-
Alternatively, pour the prepared chocolate ganache over the top before slicing for an extra decadent finish.
