Remove the legs either by hand or with scissors if they are difficult to remove.

Continue opening the back slightly further.
Separate the shrimp from the shell, leaving the tail intact for easy eating.
Do not remove the shell completely; leave it attached to the tail for presentation.
Your shrimp is now ready for breading and frying.
