Shrimp Sweet & Sour Noodles

Instructions

  1. Season the cleaned shrimp with light soy sauce and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Gradually add water until the batter reaches a consistency that is not too thick or too runny.
  3. Coat the shrimp in the batter and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the coated shrimp until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  5. In a bowl, combine ketchup, vinegar, honey, dark soy sauce, salt, pepper, water, and cornstarch. In a pan, cook the vegetables then add the prepared sauce and stir well and bring to a boil. Let it simmer until thickened to your preferred consistency. Add the fried shrimps and stir,
  6. For the noodles, cook according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. In a large pan, heat oil. Add minced garlic, ginger (optional), and the sliced vegetables. Stir-fry until the vegetables are tender.
  8. Add the cooked noodles to the pan and pour in the noodles sauce ingredients: soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, salt, pepper, water, and cornstarch. Stir well until everything is coated.
  9. Once the noodles are coated in the sauce, add the crispy shrimp on top. Stir to combine.
  10. Serve the Shrimp Sweet & Sour Noodles hot, garnished with extra vegetables if desired.
