  1. In a tray melt the butter and add pepper.
  2. Add salt and black pepper on shanks.
  3. Add shanks in the tray and roast till golden brown from all sides.
  4. Remove from the tray and in the same tray add minced onion, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper and nutmeg (7 spices, optional).
  5. Cover with foil and put in oven.
  6. Add potato and water from time to time till fully cooked from 60-90 minutes.
  7. Pan fry garlic and vinegar (tasha) then add it to the rice.
  8. Add shanks and potato over rice and serve.
