Instructions
Heat ghee in a wide pan.
Add semolina and roast on low flame for 3-4 minutes.
Pour in milk and mix well until semolina is cooked.
Set aside the cooked semolina mixture.
In another pan, prepare the sugar syrup by boiling sugar with water and cardamom powder until it thickens slightly (about 4 minutes).
Add saffron (optional) to the syrup.
Mix milk powder into the cooked semolina mixture.
Add milk and baking soda to form a smooth dough. Knead for 3-4 minutes.
Shape the dough into small balls and flatten them slightly.
Heat oil in a medium pan and fry the flattened balls until golden brown.
Remove the fried balls and dip them into the prepared sugar syrup, soaking for 2 hours.
Serve warm and enjoy!
