Macaroni Bechamel with Peas

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat olive oil then add the minced beef and give it a stir. Season with a bay leaf, spice mix, salt & pepper. Add nut meg and stir.
  2. Add the onion (chopped into small cubes) and stir well. Add minced garlic.
  3. In a pot, boil some water, add salt then cook the pasta.
  4. Add tomato paste to the minced beef and some pasta water.
  5. Prepare the bechamel sauce: In a pot, add butter and flour and whisk well. Add milk gradually then season with salt, pepper & nutmeg then add mozzarella cheese.
  6. Add some bechamel to the cooked pasta.
  7. Spread some butter to a pyrex then add a layer of pasta, then a layer of minced beef, then mozzarella, bechamel, another layer of pasta, then more bechamel and some mozzarella cheese on top.
  8. Cook in the oven at 180 degrees celsius until colored.
