In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
In a saucepan over medium heat, bring milk and butter to a boil.
Sift together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
Alternate adding the flour mixture and hot milk mixture to the egg batter, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until well combined after each addition.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured size 24 round baking pan.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Invert the cake onto a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar.
