Instructions
In a bowl, add boiling hot water to the jello.
Stir vigorously until all the jello powder is completely dissolved.
Pour in cold water and stir quickly to combine.
Lightly grease a cake mold or a Pyrex dish with a little oil. This will help the dessert unmold easily.
Pour the jello mixture into the prepared pan and refrigerate for approximately two hours, or until it's firm.
In a saucepan, combine milk with caramel pudding mix and powdered milk. Add cream (qeshta) if you're using it.
Stir the mixture continuously over low heat until it reaches a boil.
Once it boils, turn off the heat and pour the caramel mixture into a cup to let it cool down a bit. It should be warm, not hot, when you pour it over the jello.
Remove the set jello from the refrigerator.
Arrange a layer of plain biscuits evenly over the jello.
Carefully pour the warm caramel mixture over the biscuits. Add another layer of biscuits on top.
Refrigerate the dessert again for at least two hours, or until the caramel layer is completely set.
To unmold the dessert, dip the bottom of the pan into a bowl of hot water for just five seconds. This will loosen the jello.
Invert the pan onto a serving plate. Serve chilled.
