Indian Shrimp Biryani

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimps with salt , black pepper , 1 cup of yoghurt , paprika , curry , minced mint and coriander , Biryani spices , minced garlic and ginger , fried onions , grated tomato and oil , and mix them well.
  2. In a hot pan , on high heat , add 1 spoon of ghee and minced onion , till the onions get the yellow color .
  3. Add to the pan the seasoned shrimps for 5 minutes.
  4. In a pot ,add the prepared basmati rice as a first layer .
  5. Add the cooked shrimps as a second layer.
  6. Add another layer of basmati rice followed by another layer of the cooked shrimps .
  7. Finalize by another layer of basmati rice and put on top of it saffron (if available).
  8. Leave it to cook for 10 minutes.
  9. Put it in the serving plate and decorate it with nuts and green coriander.

Basmati Rice

  1. In a pot, boil some water and add cardamom, bay leaves, and a spoonful of oil and salt.
  2. When the water boils , add the basmati rice and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Drain the cooked rice from the water.
