Description

Beef Piccata is a delightful twist on the classic Italian dish usually made with veal or chicken. In this recipe, thinly sliced beef is pan-seared to perfection and served with a tangy and flavorful lemon-caper sauce. It's a sophisticated yet simple dish that's perfect for a special dinner.

Instructions

  1. Marinade with salt & pepper then cover with flour
  2. In a hot pan, add oil and cook on both sides until brown
  3. Remove beef from the pan and add oil
  4. Cook the mushrooms until brown then add bay leaves, rosemary, nutmeg and season with salt & pepper
  5. Bring beef back to the pan, add stock & water
  6. Cover and put on low heat
  7. Leave it until its fully cooked - you may need to add water every once in a while
  8. You can add cream but this step is optional
