  1. Slice the eggplants and sprinkle with salt. Let them sit for a while.
  2. In a bowl, combine minced beef, minced onion, chopped parsley, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and beef spices. Form into patties.
  3. Fry the eggplant slices until golden brown. Slice the potatoes and green bell pepper.
  4. In a baking dish, layer the beef patties between slices of fried eggplant, and add slices of potato and green bell pepper.
  5. Blend fresh tomato with tomato paste, salt, and thyme. Pour over the layered ingredients in the baking dish.
