Instructions
- In a bowl, add boiling hot water to the jello.
- Stir vigorously until all the jello powder is completely dissolved.
- Pour in cold water and stir quickly to combine.
- Lightly grease a cake mold or a Pyrex dish with a little oil. This will help the dessert unmold easily.
- Pour the jello mixture into the prepared pan and refrigerate for approximately two hours, or until it's firm.
- In a saucepan, combine milk with caramel pudding mix and powdered milk. Add cream (qeshta) if you're using it.
- Stir the mixture continuously over low heat until it reaches a boil.
- Once it boils, turn off the heat and pour the caramel mixture into a cup to let it cool down a bit. It should be warm, not hot, when you pour it over the jello.
- Remove the set jello from the refrigerator.
- Arrange a layer of plain biscuits evenly over the jello.
- Carefully pour the warm caramel mixture over the biscuits. Add another layer of biscuits on top.
- Refrigerate the dessert again for at least two hours, or until the caramel layer is completely set.
- To unmold the dessert, dip the bottom of the pan into a bowl of hot water for just five seconds. This will loosen the jello.
- Invert the pan onto a serving plate. Serve chilled.
