Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into sticks or wedges.
  2. Rinse well to remove excess starch and soak them in cold water with ice cubes.
  3. Boil a pot of water and add the sweet potatoes. Cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly tender but not fully cooked.
  4. Drain the sweet potatoes and pat them dry. Toss them in cornstarch for extra crispiness.
  5. Mix a bit of water with cornstarch to create a light slurry. Coat the potatoes in this mixture before frying for added crunch.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer. Fry the sweet potatoes in batches, ensuring they don’t stick together.
  7. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3–5 minutes per batch.
  8. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Lightly season with salt.
  9. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
