Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Hotdog Mixture: Heat butter or oil in a hot pan, add sliced hotdogs, and sauté until they develop a golden crust. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the chopped bell peppers and onions, sauté until softened, then mix in ketchup and barbecue sauce. Stir until everything is well combined, and set aside.
  4. Prepare Béchamel Sauce: In a pot, whisk together milk and flour until smooth (off the heat). Turn on medium-low heat and stir continuously until the sauce thickens. Add salt, pepper, paprika, a bouillon cube, and a handful of mozzarella cheese for added flavor.
  5. Layer the Dish: In a baking dish, spread a layer of béchamel, add pasta, and cover with the hotdog mixture. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Repeat with another layer of pasta and finish with a generous layer of béchamel and cheese on top.
  6. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven and for the last 10 minutes, turn on the broiler to get a golden crust on top.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy the cheesy, creamy, and flavorful pasta.
