Layer the bottom and sides of a baking dish with butter and phyllo pastry sheets, brushing each layer with melted butter.

Spread ground beef evenly over 10 layers, then add diced tomatoes, green peppers, and chopped olives.

Fold the edges over the filling and cover with five more phyllo pastry sheets, brushing butter between each layer.

Press down the edges with your hands and cut it into squares.

Mix melted butter with milk, salt, black pepper, and thyme, then pour over the goulash to cover.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes to 45 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
