  1. Add instant yeast and the sugar to the warm water, mix them well and cover it and leave it for 5 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, add sifted flour, powdered milk, baking powder, salt and mix well.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and mix well.
  4. Add the oil and knead well for 10 minutes minimum.
  5. Add more flour gradually if needed.
  6. Cover the dough with plastic stretch and let it ferment in a dark and warm room from one to one and a half hour.
  7. Apply flour on and under the dough.
  8. Divide the dough into four quarters and make each like a ball shape.
  9. Divide each ball into 4 equal quarters and divide each quarter into 4 more quarters then make each one like a ball shape.
  10. Grease a tray with butter on the base and sides.
  11. sprinkle some fine semolina on the tray.
  12. For the stuffing use Kiri cheese or triangles/chocolate/Nutella/thyme or no filling at all.
  13. Roll out each ball and add the filling then make it into a ball shape again.
  14. Add them to the tray separate away from each other.
  15. Cover the balls and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  16. Brush the balls with a mixture of egg yolk, milk and vanilla.
  17. Optional step: Sprinkle roasted sesame on the balls.
  18. Bake it in a preheated oven for 15 minutes on 190 degrees Celsius with the bottom flame turned on.
  19. Turn off the bottom flame and turn on the grill till it gets the golden color.
  20. Add condensed sweetened milk/sugar syrup to the hot pie.

The Sugar Syrup

  1. In a pot, off-heat mix water, sugar and lemon juice.
  2. On heat, without stirring, once it starts to boil, reduce the heat for 4 minutes and let it cool at room temperature.
