Instructions
The Cake

In a blender, add the eggs, sugar, vanilla and blend on high speed for 4 minutes.

Add oil, yogurt, grated orange peel, fine semolina and blend well.

Add sifted flour, baking powder and blend on low speed till the flour disappears.

Grease a 25*30 size Pyrex with oil and add the mixture.

Bake it in a preheated oven from 40 to 45 minutes on 180 degrees Celsius.
The Sugar Syrup

In a pot, off heat, mix water, sugar and lemon slice.

On heat, stir the sugar syrup from the middle of the pot.

Once the sugar syrup starts boiling, stop stirring, lower to medium heat and leave it to boil for 15 minutes.

Pour the warm sugar syrup on the hot cake.
Flour Cream

In a pot, off heat, add milk, starch, flour, sugar, vanilla and mix well.

On heat, continue stirring until the mixture gets thicker.

Turn off the heat, add butter and mix well till it melts.

Pour the flour cream on the cake and leave it to chill.

Decorate by fine coconut and cherries (optional).

Let it rest in the fridge for minimum 2 hours.
