- Peel and slice the apples and pears. Place them in a pot.
- Add apple juice, creamy honey, and ground cinnamon.
- Cook this mixture on the stove for about 10 minutes until the fruit softens slightly and the flavors meld.
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, powdered milk, a dash of salt, and sugar.
- Add the cold, cubed butter. Using your fingertips, rub the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse sand.
- Mix in chocolate chips or nuts as desired. (Optional)
- Pour the prepared fruit filling into an oven-safe dish or ramekins. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit layer.
