Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by heating oil and ghee in a pot. Add blended tomatoes, a pinch of sugar, and boiled water. Let it cook for a few minutes.
  2. Add garlic, vinegar, and all spices to the sauce. Simmer on low heat until it thickens slightly but remains runny.
  3. For the chicken, heat oil and ghee in a pan. Add diced chicken and sauté until lightly golden.
  4. Add onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, and garlic to the chicken. Stir in the spices and 2 tbsp of the prepared sauce. Cook until well combined.
  5. For the ground beef, heat oil and ghee. Add beef and cook until browned.
  6. Stir in onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, garlic, spices, and ¼ cup of the prepared sauce. Cook until fully incorporated.
  7. In a baking dish or clay pot, layer the prepared chicken or beef with pasta. Pour enough sauce to just cover the pasta.
  8. Cover the dish tightly with parchment paper and foil.
  9. Preheat the oven to the highest temperature, then bake the dish at 200°C for 30 minutes.
  10. Let it rest for 10 minutes, invert onto a plate, and serve.
