Healthy Pesto Sauce

Instructions

  1. Cut garlic head in half, add olive oil, salt & pepper, cover in foil then roast in the oven at 200 degrees from 30 to 40 minutes
  2. In a blender, add spinach, basil leaves, ground flaxseed, lemon, walnuts or almonds, roasted garlic, salt & pepper and blend
  3. Optional: Add water or oil to lighten the texture
  4. To store in the fridge:
    -Place in a jar.
    -Cover the top with a little olive oil.
    - Keep it refrigerated for up to 10 days.
    To store in the freezer:
    - keep in a well sealed plastic bag and store for up to 4-6 months.
