Description

This dish is a creamy, nostalgic dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts smothered in a savory sauce. It's often made with boneless, skin-on chicken breasts (chicken supremes) but can also be prepared with skinless, boneless breasts. The chicken is pan-fried until golden, then baked in a creamy sauce of condensed soup, sour cream, and sometimes mushrooms. It's a quick and easy recipe perfect for a weeknight meal, evoking childhood comfort food vibes.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. In a pot on medium heat, put some oil and butter, add the chicken, and flip until it takes on a golden color.
  3. Remove the chicken from the heat, and in the same pot, add a piece of butter and the cubed mushrooms. When it changes color, add the minced onions and garlic.
  4. Stir all the ingredients, then add the cubed bell pepper. Stir again, add the flour.
  5. Stir, and when the flour disappears, add the cooking cream and fresh rosemary sprigs.
  6. Return the chicken breasts again to the pot and cover with the cream. Reduce the heat and simmer for five minutes. Serve with white rice.
