Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, salt, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.
Add the flour all at once and stir until a smooth dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a large bowl and let it cool for 5 minutes.
Heat frying oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
Fill a churrera or a piping bag with the dough.
When the oil is hot, pipe the dough into the oil to make Balah Elsham of desired length.
Fry until golden brown, flipping to ensure even cooking.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Drizzle with sugar syrup and serve.
