Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes on the stove in cold water so they are cooked evenly. Boil with some salt.
  2. In another pan, put the minced meat, salt, pepper, spices, and rosemary sprigs. Add the onions and stir.
  3. Add the shredded carrots, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar. After stirring, add the water and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. When the potatoes are completely cooked, drain the boiling water, leaving some water to make it easier to mash the potatoes. After mashing, add milk, salt, and pepper.
  5. After the minced meat is fully cooked, add the cream and stir well.
  6. Divide the meat into two halves, leave half in the pan and add a layer of potato puree on top of it, then the rest of the minced meat and a sprinkle of mozzarella.
  7. Add the rest of the puree and spread evenly until it completely covers the minced meat. Add a rich layer of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
  8. Place in a preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes or until golden.
