Golden crispy kunafa tossed in rich pistachio sauce, layered with fresh strawberries, chocolate drizzle, and crunchy toppings for a modern Middle Eastern dessert.

Instructions

  1. Cut the kunafa into small pieces (preferably while frozen for easier cutting).
  2. In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of ghee.
  3. Add the kunafa and toast over medium heat until golden and crispy. Set aside.
  4. Prepare the pistachio sauce by combining pistachio butter, tahini, and sunflower oil in a pan.
  5. Heat gently while stirring until the mixture becomes smooth and pourable.
  6. In another pan, combine chocolate and sunflower oil.
  7. Stir over low heat until the chocolate melts into a smooth sauce.
  8. Pour the pistachio sauce over the toasted kunafa and mix well.
  9. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  10. Top with fresh strawberries.
  11. Add pieces of meringue.
  12. Drizzle chocolate sauce on top.
  13. Finish with crushed pistachios.
