Description
Fluffy and aromatic restaurant-style basmati rice cooked with warm spices, sautéed onions, broth, and finished with ghee for perfectly separated grains every time.

Instructions
Wash the basmati rice well without soaking.
Heat oil with ghee or butter in a pot.
Add chopped onion and chili pepper and sauté briefly.
Add bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, turmeric, curry powder, ground cloves, and pepper.
Stir well to allow the oil to absorb the flavors of the spices.
Add beef broth powder or salt.
Add the basmati rice and stir well to coat it completely with the fat.
Pour in the boiling water.
Cover and cook over medium heat for about five minutes until the water reduces.
Add small pieces of ghee, cover again, and lower the heat.
Continue cooking on low heat until fully done.
Fluff gently using a wooden spoon to prevent breaking the grains.
Garnish with raisins or nuts if desired.
Let it rest briefly before serving.
