Instructions

  1. Arrange the ready-made cake slices in a Pyrex dish or serving mold.
  2. Gently press down on the cake with the bottom of a cup to close any gaps.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the milk and sweetened cocoa powder well.
  4. Saturate the cake with this mixture to make it soft and moist, then set it aside.
  5. In a pot over medium heat, combine the crème caramel mix with milk.
  6. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil. This prevents clumping.
  7. Remove the pot from the heat immediately.
  8. Pour the hot crème caramel mixture into a blender.
  9. Add the plain biscuits, powdered milk, and the qeshta (if using).
  10. Blend all the ingredients until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  11. Pour the hot cream mixture immediately over the cake layer.
  12. Let the dish sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes to cool and form a light crust on top.
  13. Sprinkle a light layer of unsweetened cocoa powder on top using a small sieve.
  14. Refrigerate the dish for at least two hours, or until it is completely set and cold.
